Hello, friends! Well, the long-awaited moment is here (at least for me!)…my new stationary and print shop is finally open!!!!!!

Eeeeeeek! I’m so excited and nervous about it! It’s scary putting your heart out there!
Here’s a little peek:
Well, you know my serious obsession with DEER and especially vintage deer…They are the inspiration behind the new shop and you can bet there will be tons of deer cards. I’ll also carry other vintage style cards as well as art prints and my own illustrations.
The “theme” for the shop is definitely a “retro candy shop celebration”. Haha! I put a lot of thought into the branding and knew I wanted it to be “sweet”, “retro”, “nostalgic”, “pastel”…And so “retro candy shop” just kind of happened. Maybe I’m just going through a phase or it’s the influence of all the 1950′s movies I’ve been watching…=) Either way I’m just thrilled with how it all turned out. Already having experience setting up a business with “DondaLee’s” helped out a lot. I knew what I wanted to do and I just stayed really focused. The real work always seems to be taking product pictures and creating their listings on Etsy.Goodness! I guess I’ve been working on all this since the beginning of the summer. Time went by so fast. I intended to have the shop open a month ago today. Oh, well!
It certainly has been a long time coming! Y’all have been listening to me whine/talk about “wanting to do graphic design” forever now! After a short stint with some “web design” I realized it wasn’t the exact direction I wanted to take and that instead, “print” would suit me better…I really like being able to “touch” art and share it with others.
My favorite thing to do is create “mixed media” designs…Combining real-life, 3-D objects with my own illustrations…It gives me a great excuse to collect more vintage deer figurines and put to good use (and share) all the ones I’ve hoarded. =) Not to mention all the other antiques I’ve squirreled away! Hehe.
So there you have it, folks! You can find more info in the new shop and on the website… So I’ll be running both, “DondaLee’s” and “Little Dear Prints” for now. Oh, boy! Yes, I’m crazy. But I feel so relieved and happy to finally be fulfilling one of my dreams. Thank you all so much for your encouragement and support! It means the world! And I promise I won’t bug you all the time with news for “Little Dear Prints”. If you want news on that you can check out the shop and website. I’ll also work on making some kind of e-mail subscription to announce sales and specials…As if I needed one more to keep up with! Haha!
